Coaching before a breakup – what it is and why you should reach out for support
Pre-breakup coaching is a process in which I work with a person standing at the threshold of a decision to end a relationship. I focus on the present and the future – helping you sort out your emotions, understand the reality of the situation, set priorities and write a plan for life after the decision – in a way that is conscious and in line with your values.
It’s not therapy. It’s practical support for now – you decide how many sessions you need and how long they will be.
What does it consist of? What do we do together
- Emotional ordering – I help you identify the feelings associated with the relationship: sadness, anger, grief, guilt – and transform them into a clear map of yourself.
- Analysis of the situation – together we look at the strength and weaknesses of the relationship, look for the source of the crisis and consider what is worth saving – and what is worth letting go.
- Planning the future – we set realistic goals: emotional, family, professional. We build an adaptation plan for a change in the status quo.
- Building mental resilience – we teach techniques for dealing with stress, negative thoughts and difficult emotions – this is the key to conscious action.
- Decision support – I help you anticipate the consequences of both ending the relationship and possibly staying – always in accordance with your values and needs.
- Strategies and practical tools – you get specific methods: breathing, relaxation, techniques for dealing with peer pressure, ready-made conversation scenarios
Individual sessions (online or in-person) where you are the center – no judgment, full support and attention.
